PawsWithCause works with amazing rescue groups, city art centers, local retirement/ nursing homes, at-risk-youth, veterans, disabled persons of all stratus, as well as fabulous local businesses that look beyond a profit margin to build their business through serving their community.
No one person, but all of us working together, created PawswithCause. Making a difference for many pets, seniors, people of all walks of life, and area businesses.
Any and every member of the community can help us be live-changing. Painting with PawsWithCause is one of those transformative paths. We teach everyone to paint as easy as one, two three, and the outcomes are stunning.
Our first painting group were senior citizens in Assisted Living and Nursing homes. As the American population ages, our seniors find themselves displaced from their ‘work-identity’; 20%-25% of senior citizens suffer from depression.
Elders are aging out of active employment but still vital in their abilities. Moved to assisted living and senior centers, the world forgets about its elders. Even those who have value & ability to offer! Painting or coloring is an ageless art. To that end, PawswithCause is teaming with local nursing homes, assisted living centers and senior centers to revitalize one of our amazing natural resources, our senior citizens.
Current estimates from a wide range of groups indicate approximately 8 million animals enter shelters each year. Of those, 4 million might be euthanized if homes aren’t found. Successful open admission shelters are saving over 90% of companion animals, young and old. PawsWithCause helps shelter pets get seen and adopted!
It is our goal to re-home pets all the while revitalizing not just the local community but the people, including the seniors, who for so many years gave it their life’s work and care
We do this by placing the community painted pet portraits out, as art installations, in local area businesses. Our Installations are available to any and every local business that has foot traffic and would delight in artistic paintings to decorate their walls.
More now than ever companies are seeking ways to give back to their communities while getting something in return; customer loyalty, and a rebuilding of home-town values.
Imagine customers interacting with one another instead of sitting in a waiting room chair. Talking with others, learning about adoptable animals and the seniors and others who are gracious enough to lend their time and skill to paint them. It creates a buzz of loyalty with patrons leaving them with a sense of hope and pride in their community.
Make a Change / Change a Life The demographics show 23 million Americans are looking to adopt an animal every year. Of those, 17 million (5.5% US population) are undecided where to adopt and state they would happily adopt from a shelter; if they knew about them! Out of every 100 people 5 are looking for a new pet right now! Some businesses where PawsWithCause displays has foot traffic of 3,000 per day.
Making a purposeful difference Goals:
1. Bring purpose & vitality to our seniors and others who would delight in learning a new skill;
2. Assist in the adoption more than 5,000 companion pets in each community
3. Create positive outreach for local businesses of all kinds
Adopting from a local shelter, you can make a difference in ending pet homelessness and in revitalizing the lives of our local citizens. With your help, and by telling your friends about PawsWithCause, we hope to help 5,000 shelter pets find new homes each year.
Let’s be the village that makes the difference and create an environment where we can each:
Do More Good!
