Mt. Elbert High Altitude Training Hike

This event will be held in Leadville, Co. We will host four combat-wounded veterans to work on their healing, build camaraderie and a support network that will last them a lifetime, and train.

This event will help train the same group of veterans we will send to Africa to hike up the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

The event in CO will help condition our veterans for the high altitude they will experience while hiking up Mt. Kilimanjaro. However, training is not the only thing they will be doing. During this multi-day event, they will participate in other events, attend dinner, and explore what Leadville, CO, offers.

While participating in the hike, veterans will see magnificent views of the Rockies, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and help establish their limits when they get ready to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro.
