Habitat for Humanity Prince William County

Habitat for Humanity Prince William County has been helping families achieve decent, safe and affordable housing since 1994. We invite people from all walks of life and faiths to work together in partnership to build, rehab and repair homes with families in need.

Homeownership: Habitat for Humanity Prince William County uses tax-deductible donations of money and materials and volunteer labor to build or rehab homes in partnership with families who face significant challenges in becoming homeowners.

Partner families are qualified based on their need for housing, their ability to pay for a mortgage, and their willingness to provide "sweat equity" volunteer labor.

The family then purchases the home with a zero-profit mortgage and affordable terms of payment.

Home Repairs: Our Critical Home Repair, Home Preservation and Weatherization programs help low- to moderate-income homeowners make home repairs that alleviate health, life and safety issues or housing code violations.

From minor exterior repairs to critical home repairs and accessibility modifications, we give families a hand-up to live with dignity in safe, decent homes.

ReStore: The Habitat ReStore receives donated building materials, appliances, furniture, tools and more and then sells those items to the general public at 40% to 90% off retail prices. Proceeds from the ReStore fund the repair, rehab or construction of affordable homes for low-income families in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park.

Volunteering: We have volunteer opportunities for everyone. We invite individuals and groups to help us with construction, in the office and ReStore, to serve on a committee, to help with special projects and events, and donate lunches to work sites.
