What We Do
Injured service members spend much of their time in intense psychological and physical therapy. The program was designed to bring a sense of fun, recreation and empowerment while supporting their recovery. Links to Freedom utilizes golf as a vehicle to extend therapy in a calm and serene environment. We teach the fundamentals of the game, focus on control of motor skills, mobility and flexibility. Led by military, civilian, and PGA/LPGA volunteers, we help heal those service members and families who have paid a tremendous debt for our freedom. We work in tandem with other therapeutic organizations to ensure a path towards a holistic rehabilitation that includes family members and caregivers. Participants redefine and reestablish critical relationships while learning a sport they can play together for years.
Why We Need Your Support
Injuries bring a lifetime of consequences. Physical and mental barriers undermine the personal and professional abilities of service members, which often leads to shattered lives and destroyed families. Your support will help rebuild, restore and empower a person, a family, an entire veteran community, all through the enjoyment of the game of golf.
At least 85% of funding directly benefits the health and welfare of the program participants. Contributions and involvement are critical as the demand for our program grows. The Foundation's transparent operation ensures your hard-earned dollars are used for the right purposes.
