What is ReGroup?
ReGroup Foundation is a non profit with the mission to prevent homelessness and hardships by providing healthy, supportive living environments for our veterans during transition out of military service back in to civilian lives.
ReGroup is a Veteran's NEXT STEP!
Where are ReGroup Ranches?
All ReGroup Ranches are being strategically placed far enough outside the city limits to be tranquil yet close enough to metropolitan areas to provide easy access to VA facilities, military bases, plenty of work opportunities, and a variety of colleges.
We broke ground on our Proof of Concept Ranch in New Braunfels, TX
on June 30, 2016.
Our longterm goal is to have a ReGroup Ranch in every state of the country but we are starting in 3 regions:
Western Region - Colorado
Central Region - Texas
Eastern Region - Florida/Georgia
How will we accomplish our mission?
We are working with DOD to identify and help those that are at highest risk of post service struggles.
We will have an easy online application process.
Once on the Ranch we will provide:
Support Systems
*Trained Advisors/Therapists will be available 24/7
*ReGroup Team - comprised of themselves, counselors, mentors, tutors, therapists, and advisors
*Camaraderie of Brothers and Sisters. Many tend to isolate post service when what they need is to continue to have support of peers that have “been in their boots”
*Partnerships with other veteran focused organizations. While there are many veteran focused charities; many focus on severely disabled veterans but what about those struggling with invisible wounds like PTSD? Many provide a weekend away but what about the next week? We are providing them a place to stay the week after and the week after that for 18+/- months. We are working on collaborative partnerships with organizations that offer our veterans the best and most tools for success. Specifically we are in conversations with nonprofits to provide our individual, couples, and family counseling, and Bunker Labs to provide employment, education, and entrepreneurial training and support.
Job Training, Certification Programs, and Education
*Certification Programs in organic farming, ranching, aquaculture growing, and solar, wind, and thermal energy technologies will be available
*Tutoring and study groups available for college bound members
*School Match and Enrollment Assistance
Job Placement Programs
*Jobs available on ReGroup Ranches
*Hands on, In the Field, Mentorship Opportunities in various fields
*Network of Employers, Organizations, Contract recruiters
*Partnership with National Guard
What is expected of members living on ReGroup Ranches?
Even though our members are allowed to help out and learn how the ranch works they are NOT required to work on the ranch.
Our members only job is to work on their transition.
Phase 1 Discovery - Transition Teams are formed. Veterans living on ranches will get settled in and given an opportunity to decompress by learning various modalities of therapy and going on therapeutic retreats offered by partner charities. They will begin getting any counseling needed. They will start researching their transition plan.
Phase 2 Development- They will start working more aggressively with their ReGroup Team (advisors, mentors, counselors, therapists, and tutors) and start developing a more solid transition plan. They will explore their options (school vs work). They will spend time with mentors to get hands on experience in the field they want to ultimately work in.
Phase 3 - Deployment -They will implement their plan by looking for and landing a job or starting school. They find a new mission to give them purpose by volunteering with ReGroup or other charities they are passionate about.
Being a ReGroup member is a lifetime commitment to become a part of an organization that has the same ideologies and ethics as our military.
Once members are successfully off the Ranch and working in their career, they are encouraged to give back by mentoring other service members as they transition or by actively supporting a related cause of their own choosing.
