SITUATION

1.2 million unwanted dogs are killed each year in the U.S. When a specially selected shelter dog from an animal shelter is properly rehabilitated and trained, though, they can save lives, working as service dogs and therapy dogs for children and adults with PTSD, diabetes, autism, seizures, and other disabilities.

SOLUTION

Pawsitivity Service Dogs helps both dogs and people simultaneously. Pawsitivity Service Dogs is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity that works with animal shelters and dog rescues across the nation to rescue dogs and then train these shelter dogs as service dogs. We believe these dogs should not be killed, but should be rehabilitated and trained. Help us in our mission--medical studies demonstrate that service and therapy dogs can be an effective tool in the treatment and management of chronic disabilities.
