Lion Community Learning is working with people who have experienced oppression to build a decolonizing system of learning. Currently, LCL is recruiting approximately 10 BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or neurodivergent "Founding Fellows" who will together become the official founders of LCL.
Through the lens of decolonization, these Founders will use their personal and professional backgrounds to experience and revise the current drafts of LCL's community learning programs. In addition, throughout their fellowship experience, the Fellows will finalize LCL's mission, direction, brand, and structure, so that the organization's key foundational decisions are are made with people who have experienced oppression. By the end of the full Founding Fellowship program, the Fellows will be prepared to adapt and share LCL’s programs in whichever ways they want to, positioning us to expand LCL's work one community cohort at a time, in cooperation with the people we already know, trust, and love.
