At Lemondrop Farm Animal Sanctuary we provide a permanent home for over 100 rescued, abandoned, neglected or handicapped Farm Animals.
At Lemondrop Community Outreach we provide food, clothing and other household needs to individuals and families who need it most. Our focus is: at-risk, elderly, veterans, single parents and their children, homeless and the LGBTQ+ Communities, especially teens within the community who may be homeless.
Lemondrop Community Outreach is partnered with several local nonprofit organizations, we distribute to approximately 1200 people each week through our partners. This includes hundreds of pounds of food, clothing and living necessities. Additionally we distribute between 60-100 boxes of household items for low income families and people in dire straits, each week. Some of our partners include: Good Samaritan Network (Tallahassee FL), Community Cares Outreach (Havana FL), The Bicycle House (Tallahassee FL), Just Us 4 Youth (Pomona CA) and more.
Our Community Outreach Programs serve all of our locations, our headquarters in North Florida, as well as locations in South Georgia and Southern California.
ALL of our "Staff" (including our Board of Directors and full time on-site volunteers) are 100% UNPAID and VOLUNTEER all of their time. No one receives a paycheck on our team. We do not use any money raised for expensive and wasteful marketing. Every single dollar goes directly toward the Operational Expenses that keep our doors open. Unlike other local nonprofits, who receive government grants and run marketing ads, Lemondrop does not receive ANY government or local funding.
Please consider supporting our work. Any grant gifted to Lemondrop, goes directly to keep our programs going. We operate on less than $8,000 per year and DESPERATELY need you to help us keep our doors open. The communities we help, depend on us for their survival.
