BRIDGE THE GAP INITIATIVE INC

Bridge the Gap Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to essential and advanced dental care for veterans, reservists, and law enforcement officers throughout Southwest Florida.

Many of those who have served our communities and our nation face significant barriers to dental treatment due to limited coverage, financial hardship, or the demands of service. Through partnerships with licensed dental professionals, community supporters, and local organizations, Bridge the Gap Initiative helps provide comprehensive dental care at no cost to qualified recipients.

Our programs support both individual treatment cases and large-scale Days of Service, delivering care that restores oral health, function, confidence, and quality of life. Services may include examinations, imaging, cleanings, restorative treatment, extractions, and full-mouth rehabilitation when clinically appropriate.

Prior to the formation of the nonprofit, participating providers and community partners delivered more than $196,000 in donated dental care to 44 veterans, reservists, and law enforcement officers. Building on that foundation, Bridge the Gap Initiative's current goal is to help provide care for 47 additional recipients through ongoing treatment initiatives and the 2027 Day of Service.

By connecting donors, volunteers, and community partners with those in need, Bridge the Gap Initiative works to ensure that those who served are not left behind when it comes to accessing life-changing dental care.
