SOHIZ COMMUNITY OUTREACH

SOHIZ Community Outreach is a grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in North Charleston, South Carolina, with over 21 years of service to the community. We provide essential resources, food assistance, health and wellness services, and specialized support for veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and families in need. Our two core initiatives are the SOHIZ Full Plate Pantry, which distributes perishable and non-perishable groceries every 2nd Saturday, and the Resilient Warriors Program, which delivers mental health counseling, peer support, wellness kits, and transitional housing connections for veterans. Guided by compassion and a commitment to measurable impact, SOHIZ strengthens lives by building resilience, advancing opportunities, and ensuring equitable access to basic needs and long-term stability. Through dedicated staff, committed volunteers, and community partnerships, we reach 300–350 individuals monthly, bringing hope, dignity, and tangible support to those who need it most.
