Winter + Spring Adventures! Tough Cubber + Pinewood Derby
de HEARTLAND HOMESTEAD COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONOberlin Cub Scout Pack 460 is launching a community fundraising initiative to ensure that every Scout—regardless of family finances—can participate in two of our most exciting annual events: Tough Cubber Camp and the Pinewood Derby. These programs are core parts of the Cub Scout experience, building confidence, leadership, creativity, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
Tough Cubber Camp is a high-energy, skill-building overnight program that challenges Scouts to try new activities, work as a team, and discover what they’re capable of. From outdoor skills and obstacle courses to campfire traditions, Tough Cubber gives youth meaningful experiences that build courage, resilience, and friendships.
The Pinewood Derby is a cherished Scouting event where creativity meets craftsmanship. Scouts design, build, and race their own wooden cars with the support of their families and leaders. It’s a hands-on learning experience that strengthens problem-solving skills, boosts confidence, and brings our entire pack together for a day of friendly competition and celebration.
This fundraiser will help cover:
Event registration fees for Tough Cubber Camp
Camping supplies and activity materials
Pinewood Derby car kits and workshop supplies
Venue and equipment support for race day
Scholarships for families needing financial assistance
By contributing to this project, donors help make sure every Scout in Pack 460 has the opportunity to participate fully, grow through these unforgettable experiences, and continue their journey in Scouting without barriers. Your support directly strengthens our pack and ensures that all Scouts can learn, explore, and thrive.
Thank you for helping us build confident young leaders—one campout, one race, and one Scout at a time.
