The Bolsa Chica Conservancy provides incredible opportunities for immersive experiences at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach, California.
Our philosophy is built upon a belief that hands-on activity is the best way to engage citizen scientists (and regular volunteers) in our work to protect, preserve, and restore the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, including the wetlands, the uplands, and surrounding habitats.
Our mission of education, research, restoration, and stewardship strives to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
We operate the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve Interpretive Center to provide visitors with a starting point for their exploration of the wetlands and uplands.
We also operate a mobile classroom as part of our Windows to Our Wetlands (WOW) Program which is focused on providing a hands-on science-based experience to disadvantaged communities that might not have the resources necessary for field trips to visit us in person.
The WOW program is available to schools, youth groups, special events, and other community events all over Orange and L.A. Counties.
