PRESERVATION PITTSBURGH
PITTSBURGH, PennsylvaniaPreservation Pittsburgh is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit advocacy group dedicated to preserving our region's historic, architectural, cultural, and environmental heritage. Its purpose is to assist individuals and organizations in preserving the integrity of the architecture and physical surroundings they value. Preservation Pittsburgh formed after the Syria Mosque, a beloved concert hall, was demolished in 1991 (and today remains a parking lot). As a volunteer-run organization, board members are critical to the operations and success of the organization.
Preservation Pittsburgh advocates for the protection of Pittsburgh’s historic architecture, culture and landscape. We fulfill our mission by:
• identifying resources and collaborative opportunities for preservation in our region’s neighborhoods and with partner organizations;
