Community Dental has been helping the most vulnerable populations in Maine access high-quality oral health care for more than 100 years. Organization-wide, Community Dental served nearly 12,000 patients last year over more than 25,000 visits. Most of our patients live with low incomes; more than 80% live at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.

Our patients include low-income families, immigrants and refugees, people with disabilities, veterans, English Language Learners, and unhoused people. We accept MaineCare and offer dramatically reduced fees for our low-income patients through our Low-Income Oral Health Access Program. The stark reality is that Community Dental is one of only a few options for low-income Mainers needing oral healthcare.
