STAR COMMUNITY INC

Star Community is a local nonprofit that supports people with disabilities to live a meaningful and fulfilled life. We cultivate a community where everyone's abilities are empowered to make a difference. Through our services, we bring people together to discover their passions. Star supports people through our Meaningful Day, Employment, and Residential Services. We work with each person who has an interest in working to obtain competitive, integrated employment in the community. Our Meaningful Day program supports people to learn and grow their skill sets and our Community Development Services (CDS) support people in the community doing what they love. We partner with other amazing nonprofits and businesses in our area to cultivate employment and volunteer opportunities. We are continuing to increase our community partnerships to expand volunteer opportunities for those that love to give back. Star currently has 12 homes in the Washington County area, supporting 43 individuals. Each person's personality and unique character is considered when deciding which home will be their perfect fit. Along with these services, Star Community offers equine services through our Therapeutic Equestrian Center. We cater to the mind, body, and spirit of each rider. Star offers therapeutic riding, recreational riding, a veteran and first responders program (Star's Stripes and Heroes), and a groundwork program.

Each service that Star Community provides is focused on supporting people of all abilities to live each day as they determine it. We are committed to remaining person centered in all we do and to be a support system for a valued community.
