SSV's career counselors help Veterans anywhere in the U.S. create resumes and LinkedIn profiles that highlight military experience in civilian-friendly terms, provide interview coaching, job-search strategy and one-on-one career counseling. SSV's VA Benefit Counselors are certified by the American Legion and help North Alabama Veterans secure VA benefits earned through military service. North Alabama Veterans in crisis can request support for basic life necessities such as rent, utilities, transportation or food insecurity.
No Veteran or employer is ever charged for SSV's services. Our programs are only possible because of the generosity of our donors.
SSV has been honored as one of only ten Call of Duty Endowment Primary Grantees, recipient of the Candid/Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency, and recognition as the 2022 Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year.
