Free Dental Care for Uninsured / Under Insured Senior Citizens

Homeless Not Toothless (HNT) is dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the dental care they need to live healthier, more dignified lives. Since our founding, we have provided more than $10 million in free dental care to over 150,000 patients, including foster youth, homeless veterans, and survivors of domestic violence.

Our Free Dental Care for Uninsured and Underinsured Senior Citizens initiative focuses on older adults who lack adequate dental coverage. Medicare does not include dental benefits, and many seniors live on fixed incomes that make paying out of pocket for care impossible. As a result, countless older adults go without even basic dental services, leading to preventable pain, tooth loss, gum disease, infections, poor nutrition, and in severe cases, life-threatening complications.

This program provides seniors with no-cost preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care, including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and prosthetics. By addressing dental issues early and restoring oral function, we improve not only seniors’ physical health but also their ability to eat comfortably, communicate confidently, and engage socially.

Our team of volunteer dentists and hygienists works closely with senior centers, housing communities, and local organizations to connect with those most in need. By removing financial and logistical barriers, HNT ensures that seniors—many of whom have spent their lives caring for others—can finally receive the care they deserve.

Through this initiative, we affirm our belief that no one should have to suffer in silence because of their age, financial situation, or lack of insurance. With the support of our partners, HNT strives to bring smiles, comfort, and dignity back to the lives of hundreds of seniors each year.
