EMBRACING YOUR JOURNEY INC

SAN JACINTO, California

Embracing Your Journey (EYJ) is a specialized nonprofit organization founded in 2024 by Carly Herbert, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, dedicated to addressing the critical mental health needs of our nation's veterans and their families. Our team of qualified mental health professionals delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed care with a deep understanding of military culture and the unique challenges veterans face. EYJ operates with the mission to create a safe, welcoming space where veterans and their families can heal, grow, and find hope together on their post-service journey. Our comprehensive counseling services address a full spectrum of veteran mental health concerns, including combat-related trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, and family reintegration challenges. What distinguishes our organization is our military-informed approach that recognizes the distinct experiences of service members. We maintain accessibility through our commitment to low-cost and no-cost services, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent veterans from receiving the specialized care they deserve. Our dual-delivery model allows us to meet veterans where they are—both literally and figuratively—through traditional in-person sessions and secure telehealth options. Our therapeutic framework integrates clinical excellence with genuine compassion, honoring the courage it takes for veterans to seek support. EYJ's practitioners are not only clinically qualified but also culturally competent in military experiences and terminology, creating an environment where veterans feel truly understood and respected. As a recently established organization, EYJ is positioned to address critical gaps in veteran mental health services in our community, with the agility to implement innovative approaches while maintaining the highest standards of care. Our commitment extends beyond individual therapy to building a supportive community that champions veteran wellness and recovery.

Depression impacts approximately 17.8% of veterans, while anxiety disorders affect around 20%. Substance use disorders are also prevalent, with 1 in 10 veterans ... Leer más
