REBUILDING TOGETHER OF SOUTH ALABAMA

Rebuilding Together of South Alabama(RTSOAL) is the newest affiliate of Rebuilding Together. Our affiliate serves Choctaw, Clarke, Mobile, and Washington counties in south Alabama providing home repairs and modifications, disaster response and recovery, and community revitalization. Our mission is to repair homes, revitalize communities, and repair lives. We serve veterans, senior citizens, those living with disabilities, single parent households, and low-income families. We know that our success is tied to creating lasting partnerships with community stakeholders.
Starting in March 2024, we have launched our work in Choctaw, Clarke, Mobile and Washington counties with the completion of 13 projects. Together with 251 volunteers, we have installed accessibility ramps and handrails, updated bathrooms, removed soot and improved breathing conditions, repaired sheetrock, installed smoke detectors, and replaced deadbolts to ensure the homeowner’s security. Our work improves the health and safety of our clients and is provided by local volunteers. These volunteers are affiliated with schools, businesses, civic groups, and faith-based organizations. Our program concept is localized by neighbors helping neighbors.
