DAR members volunteer millions of service hours annually in their local communities including supporting veterans and active duty military personnel; awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships and financial aid each year to students; supporting schools for underserved children with annual donations, and preserving historical documents and collections. Individual chapters also support many other service projects to meet the unique needs of their local community.
More than one million women have joined the DAR since it was founded over 125 years ago. With over 3,000 chapters, the DAR is truly relevant in today's world.
