Planting of the Cuttings and taking of the new
de ST ELISABETHS INTERFAITH EPISCOPAL CHURCHPlanting of the Cuttings and taking of the new - is a fun event for 5-10 people. We provide gloves and tools, dirt and mulch, seeds and plants.
Each year, just before fall hits, we cut small branches from trees, bushes and plants we want to grow over the winter. These cuttings save us thousands of dollars in plants we'd otherwise need to buy ourselves.
We also have taken cuttings from our olive trees, stuck them in a banana in the effort of rooting difficult plants, trees and shrubs. These have all sold, we therefore need more plants, more cuttings, and a group of planters like you.
Test your skills, be a scientist for a day, take a bay leaf, and see if you can get it to root, cut an olive tree to create your very own Bonsai tree.
On this day we will be planting the winter plants into new gardens, but at my age, I need lots of help.
These plants are critical to our gardens as they bring bee's and with them we get great plants.
This is a project that can be started over few weeks because there is so much we can plant and cut, pot and grow. Keep in mind, everything you do with us, helps the greater community.
