SANA HEALING COLLECTIVE

Sana Healing Collective is a Chicago based non-profit organization committed to individualized, client-led approaches promoting the well-being of the whole person and community. We are committed to the development of psychedelic-assisted therapy, including ketamine-assisted therapy, along with other integrative practices.

The Sana Community Care Fund (CCF) was initiated from a generous donor who was particularly interested in our work because of our commitment to serve the community, regardless of one’s ability to pay for services. The program is a way for us to honor this commitment to our community and ensure that we are able to deliver services in our efforts to address the mental health accessibility barriers that exist in Chicago.

Through the Sana CCF, we are able to provide pro bono and sliding scale Ketamine assisted therapy (KAP) (and eventually psychedelic-assisted therapy when it is available to us) to people who otherwise would not be able to access such novel mental health treatment due to cost.

Compounding the cuts in federal mental health spending in the 80s, Chicago experienced city-level disinvestment in schools and mental health clinics in 2012. Half of the mental health clinics in the city were closed, largely in black and brown neighborhoods. Our Community Care Program helps bridge the gaps left by the divestment in mental health in our city and is particularly focused on providing healing and services to those who have been acting in service to our community through community organizing, harm reduction, and radical social justice work.
