Hunger is not a simple problem. 37 million Americans struggle with hunger, worry about where their next meal will come from. They are food-insecure, struggling to provide or eat enough each day. the same as the number of people officially living in poverty.16.5 million children in America, or 1 in 4, are food insecure.
The project aims is to create an inclusive and accessible food hub for Texas that will be useful to offer access to resources, education. and economic opportunity. By increasing access to basic needs and improving the health of individuals in a community, we can open up funds for education, housing, and transportation. By demonstrating solutions to hunger, we hope to inspire more self-sustaining communities while curbing major issues of poverty nationwide.
