Riverside Treatment Center - Rally Game Days

Leading up to National Recovery Month (September 2024), we are planning three fun-filled game days for our clients in treatment! These game days will wholeheartedly be in conjunction as a part of their recreation while in treatment; but we want to make it fun, Fun, FUn, FUN! Due to the rotation of clients in the program we will have three game days: May, July and September; will be the culmination during National Recovery Month! Those in outpatient treatment at the facility will be invited to participate as well.
Sponsor and host these FUN filled day with games: "Minute to Win It" relay games, Corn Hole, Ring Toss, Yard Dice, Bowing, water-balloon toss and the Hula-Hustle! Each game day will have an agenda, food and prizes for the participants. For the event in September donations will also help with purchasing materials for clients to make encouraging signs for participation in the recovery walk, during recovery month, for those clients that will be attending The Big Texas Rally for Recovery in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. On the specific game day at the Riverside Treatment Center, we will also have an Ice Cream/Snow Cone Truck, Food and Prizes with a DJ!

The VOA Texas Riverside Substance Abuse and Treatment facility provides inpatient assistance for up to 103 males and females, which includes veterans. Generally, they have 50 males, 50 females and 3 beds for emergencies. Most are there for 60-90 day programs although they do sometimes have some for the shorter 30 day program.
The Riverside Treatment Center address not only the addiction itself, but also issues like poverty, homelessness and abuse that arise from chemical dependency. We are committed to helping clients gain sure footing in sobriety so that they can reclaim what was lost and become productive members of their families and society.
