Bull City Youth Center Coporate Sponsorship
de The Salvation Army, Southern TerritoryThe Salvation Army’s Bull City Youth Center (BCYC) provides a safe and nurturing environment where Durham youth can learn, grow, and lead. Serving primarily low-income families, the BCYC Afterschool Program is designed to close educational gaps and empower students to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The program operates each weekday during the school year and offers:
Academic Tutoring and Homework Support: Certified staff and volunteers provide daily tutoring to strengthen reading, math, and writing skills while helping students develop study habits that lead to long-term success.
iExcel Academic Enrichment: A structured learning component that reinforces grade-level standards and introduces creative, hands-on learning experiences in STEM, literacy, and the arts.
Leadership Development: Through mentorship, team activities, and service projects, students learn confidence, responsibility, and positive decision-making skills that prepare them to be leaders in their schools and communities.
Character and Spiritual Growth: Rooted in The Salvation Army’s mission, BCYC fosters respect, compassion, and integrity in every child.
Funds raised through the BCYC Sponsorship Initiative directly support scholarships for children to attend the program. Sponsorship levels range from sponsoring one child for a year ($620) to fifteen children ($5,100). Each sponsorship includes visibility opportunities for community partners, such as logo placement on BCYC T-shirts and promotional materials.
Your support ensures that every child, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to quality afterschool care, academic support, and opportunities to build character and leadership for the future.
