Veteran Emergency Assistance Program (VEAP)

The Veterans Center of North Texas is a nonprofit organization staffed and operated 100% by Volunteers. Our single objective is to provide assistance and resources to Veterans in need to enable them to become productive members of our community, develop self sufficiency and main prosperous lifestyles. The Veterans Center of North Texas is primarily and information and referral center with relationships with over 150 community and government agencies in our area that may be able to provide support to our Veterans and their families. We also maintain an emergency assistance fund through our Veterans Emergency Assistance Program (VEAP) . The VEAP is available to provide immediate assistance when other resources are not available or are unavailable in a time sensitive fashion. Our goal is to ensure utilities are maintained, homelessness is prevented and employment and transportation opportunities are secured. When services and support are provided we strive to ensure we are addressing the root cause of issues to prevent the needs from becoming recurring and chronic. Resources are constantly needed to ensure emergency assistance is available.
