WHAM offers Free Art Classes to Veterans and First Responders twice a month with lunch. The class instruction is provided by a professional artist member who also cooks homemade lunches. Currently, WHAM is giving art classes in three city veterans areas: Surprise, Peoria, and Goodyear, Arizona. These classes are proven to help relieve stress and help people with PTSD heal. The Military has recognized Art as therapeutic, giving some funding to non-profits that provide this type of programming.
