About Prodigal Heroes
Prodigal Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in rural Arkansas that provides holistic support for veterans, first responders, and survivors of trauma. We help those who have dedicated their lives to serving others rediscover hope, healing, and purpose after loss, burnout, or crisis.
What We Do
• Provide trauma-informed peer support and crisis navigation for veterans, firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, and dispatchers.
• Distribute Grace + Grit care packages to first responders and unhoused veterans—meeting immediate needs while building trust and relationships.
• Offer pathways toward stability through transitional housing, skills training, and job placement partnerships.
• Create safe community spaces like Zion Village and Shiloh Grove—where meals, mentorship, and fellowship help restore belonging.
Why It Matters
Many of our heroes face invisible battles: trauma, moral injury, depression, or homelessness. In small rural communities, resources are limited and stigma often keeps people from seeking help. Prodigal Heroes steps into that gap with compassion, confidentiality, and connection—offering practical help wrapped in genuine care.
Our Philosophy: Grace + Grit
Grace meets people right where they are—without judgment or shame. Grit gives them the courage and tools to rebuild their lives. Together, these values drive every program, conversation, and act of service we offer.
Our Reach
While we began in Yell and Pope Counties, our vision extends across Arkansas and beyond. We partner with local agencies, churches, and civic organizations to expand peer support and housing programs for those who need them most.
Get Involved
Donations, sponsorships, and Round Up contributions help us fill care packages, fund peer training, and develop housing and support initiatives that save lives. Every contribution reminds someone they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.
Grace for the Fallen. Grit for the Journey.
