The Michigan Rosies (Rosie the Riveter Association of Michigan) are dedicated to honoring
the WWII Rosie the Riveters and the WWII Greatest Generation and to preserving their legacy through events and programs that educate the public and engage communities with their Rosie heritage. We seek to highlight the historic contributions of these Amazing Americans through education, storytelling, outreach, and deeply meaningful events that honor the Rosies of WWII and WWII Veterans living and passed. We facilitate the planting of Rosie the Riveter Rose Gardens in partner communities. We collect personal Rosie and WWII stories and bring them alive with original performances and presentations, and through podcast appearances and interviews. We engage in outreach to homebound members of the Greatest Generation with Rosie Honor Visits, Rosie Teddy Bears and our Cards & Letters Program. We generate unique educational online content such as our Meet Rosie Videos and our Ypsilanti WWII Self-Guided Tour. We have partnered with many prestigious organizations to preserve Rosie and WWII history, including National Geographic, the Automotive Hall of Fame, MotorCities National Heritage Area, and the Commemorative Air Force in Dallas. Michigan Rosies (Rosie the Riveter Association of Michigan) is not affiliated with any museum or national organization, and is proudly Michigan-based.
