Avenue of Flags Committee in Support of Golden Gate National Cemetery

Committee's primary mission is to assist in the preservation and beautification of Golden Gate National Cemetery in honor of the veterans who are buried there. As a corollary, the committee is involved in promoting veteran assistance in any way possible especially in raising awareness of the public to veteran situations and ways they can be helped beyond the basic needs supplied by the Veterans Administration. The committee sponsors three annual programs to promote this awareness: Memorial Day, Veterans Day and Wreaths Across America Day at which time Christmas wreaths are placed on the graves.
