YOUNG INNOVATORS SOCIETY

We strive to engage the students in programs that foster STEM literacy, 21st century skills and how to work as a team to solve unique challenges. Based in Solon, Ohio, this organization has members from several northeast Ohio communities.

A primary activity of YIS is to facilitate the formation of FIRST teams. By holding events like Parent Information Night and Team Formation Night, parents and kids can find teammates and coaches. YIS does not provide or assign coaches to teams or kids to teams. We facilitate the team formation process.

Once the teams form, YIS supports the teams by providing events to help with robot strategies, project feedback, mentoring and scrimmage opportunities.

Veteran YIS coaches host Coaches Roundtables and provide advice and guidance for new coaches.
