Founded in 2011 in Wellesley, Massachusetts, Golf For All is dedicated to transforming lives through the game of golf. By providing free clinics led by PGA professionals certified in accessible golf instruction, Golf For All helps participants experience the therapeutic and rehabilitative benefits of the sport, fostering a sense of community, dignity, and hope.
Since its founding, Golf For All has helped thousands of individuals in New England rediscover joy and companionship through the game. Over the years, Golf For All has hosted over 1,500 clinics, serving more than 12,000 total participants, including people with special needs, military veterans and their families, and at-risk inner-city youth.
In 2025, Golf For All conducted over 120 clinics for more than 1,500 participants. At least 60 percent of participants are at or near the federal poverty line, and over 35 percent are from racial minority groups.
Participants often describe Golf For All as a highlight of their week. Many have been attending for years, knowing fellow participants, coaches, and volunteers on a first-name basis. Golf For All's structured clinics feature a mix of group exercises, individual instruction, and social interaction. Surveys consistently show that Golf For All clinics enhance human connection, improve mood, and lead to positive behaviors beyond the course.
Golf For All has been committed to the autism community since its beginning. In 2025, Golf For All was honored with the Community Inclusion Award from Wellesley-based Autism Service Associates. In 2021, Golf For All was selected for the Maria McTernan Leadership Award from Charles River Center. In addition, co-founders Bob Beach and Frederick Corcoran have been recognized with awards from Special Olympics Massachusetts in recent years for their work.
Golf For All is also dedicated to supporting veterans, and offers veterans and their families free golf clinics throughout the year. The PGA of America honored Golf for All co-founder Bob Beach for his decades of helping veterans with its 2013 Patriot Award.
