The Homeless Mobile Meals Mini-Van project will give us the ability to meet an unmet need by serving hot meals, water, and personal items to the chronically homeless, children, youth, adults, veterans, and people living in the woods in the Kissimmee Osceola County, Florida community. We will provide these services once a week instead of every two weeks by having a Homeless Mobile Meals Mini-Van. Currently we are only able to serve the chronically homeless hot meals, water and personal items every other weeks.
The chronically homeless population often faces deep trauma stemming from unresolved life challenges. Our organization is committed to strengthening our understanding and application of trauma-informed care, enabling us to respond with empathy and compassion to the unique needs of each individual. We approach service from a humanitarian perspective--offering patience, hope, and encouragement to help individuals see their current condition as temporary and surmountable.
This project is distinctive because no other organization in our service are currently operates a Homeless Mobile Meals Mini-Van, making it a unique and vital addition to the community.
Sustainability: Funding for this initiative will be supported through grants, fundraisers, individual donations, and board members contributions to ensure long-term impact and continuity of service.
