Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. We are dedicated to strengthening low-income families and communities by providing affordable home ownership opportunities without regard to age, race, ethnicity, or faith. We specifically target families earning 30-60% of the average median community income.

Started in 1991, our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live, and we share your vision of making a family’s dream come true by helping those less fortunate find a place to live. Habitat Lowell builds affordable housing as well as offering critical home repairs to qualified local seniors and veterans homeowners. Habitat offers a Hand Up not a Hand Out to home ownership. In the past 30 years Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell has completed 49 affordable homes, helped 69 seniors/veterans with critical home repairs and have funded the building of 78 homes globally.
