Through the H.E.R.O.E.S. Care Hometown Support Program, at more than 600 locations in 25 states, thousands of specially trained volunteer caregivers are making a real and lasting difference in the lives of military families across the Nation. People who understand the complex effects of military service. People willing to listen. People trained to detect words and behaviors that are indicators. People who have access to the dedicated resources necessary to proactively address the needs of military families before problems escalate to crisis situations. People who are able to create and sustain an environment of trust. And most importantly, people who have the skills to help prevent suicides and divorces.
A gift of $100 provides the training and all support materials to equip a caregiver. A gift of $1000 establishes a new location in an under-served area.
