Fundraising Grant Project Description: Veteran & Family Mental Health Services Grant Fund (MKGA)
by MAKE KINGDOM GREAT AGAINThis fundraising grant project is dedicated to establishing and sustaining the MKGA Veteran & Family Mental Health Services Grant Fund, a crucial financial resource designed to eliminate the significant barriers to care for veterans and their immediate family members. Despite the high incidence of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), combat-related stress, and secondary trauma experienced by military families, many face overwhelming out-of-pocket costs, complex insurance issues, or lack of access to specialized providers.
This fund will issue direct financial grants to cover the costs associated with evidence-based mental health care, including individual and family counseling, specialized trauma therapies (like EMDR and CPT), and psychological evaluations, thereby ensuring immediate, confidential, and sustained access to high-quality treatment. Our primary objective is to reduce the burden of mental illness, mitigate the risk of veteran suicide, and strengthen the overall resilience and well-being of the military family unit by removing financial hardship as a barrier to healing.
