PEOPLE OF THE EARTH

People of the Earth (POTE) is a community-based organization that focuses on healing veterans and the Long Beach community through environmental stewardship and mental health resilience. The organization hosts and participates in community events such as beach cleanups, guided hikes, meditation workshops, and partners with various outside organizations. The main intention of our work is to heal the mind, body, and soul of the collective while stewarding the sacred land we reside on.

PTSD is a battle that rages within. It tests every aspect of our mental and emotional strength, and it’s one that often goes unseen by those who don’t live with it. For us, staying active has become our way of pushing back, of finding relief and strength in movement, in connection with self, and healing in nature. We are looking to collect funding donations to continue our outdoors healing connection with Veterans in the community.
