Counsel for Justice
LOS ANGELES, CaliforniaCFJ promotes access to justice for those in underserved communities seeking to assert their legal rights. By engaging volunteer attorneys to provide direct legal services, we empower individuals with the knowledge and support they need to navigate their legal challenges effectively.
Counsel for Justice (CFJ) was created in 2014 to unify LACBA’s pro bono efforts. Now operating independently, CFJ mobilizes volunteer attorneys to deliver free legal services, supporting immigrants, veterans, survivors, and tenants across Los Angeles in their fight for justice.
CFJ serves people directly in community locations where they most need assistance, including the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, U.S. Federal Building, and Patriotic Hall. We offer both in-person and remote volunteer opportunities.
