Every two months, VAR organizes gatherings for Richmond visual artists and creatives. We hold a space where local artists can network and bring their projects, dreams and questions.

Our free, searchable online directory promotes the work of visual artists living or working in Richmond to curators, gallerists, collectors, businesses and the public.

With support from several community partners, we organize an annual, free to the public, city-wide open studio event where 90+ visual artists can show and sell their work directly to the public whether they have a studio or not.
Local Artist Promotion
Our exhibitions, social media, newsletter, directory and events page bring visibility to our members and help connect artists to gallerists, potential clients, and the art-loving public.
