Founded in 2016, PALOMA PRESS is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, Filipino American women-led, independent literary press. We are founded in the belief that the literary arts can create empathy, bridge divides, and change one’s world.
At our core is kapwa, a force that strengthens communities, and nourishes connections and shared identities. Our mission is to publish poems and prose that have the power to inspire and reshape our creative futures.
Paloma Press was founded by Aileen Cassinetto, an immigrant writer and Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow, who also currently serves as Commissioner on the Status of Women for San Mateo County, California.
