The VETWERX Two-Week Immersive Treatment Program is a Veteran-led, integrated model
addressing PTSD, TBI, and Operator Syndrome through immersive nervous system regulation, sleep restoration, cognitive support, and peer-based identity reconstruction. The program complements VA services by improving continuity of care, engagement, and sustained functional recovery.
1. Significance
Veterans experiencing PTSD, TBI, and cumulative operational stress frequently present with
multi-domain impairments not fully addressed by siloed care models. Operator Syndrome, as described in peer-reviewed literature, underscores the need for immersive, integrative treatment approaches that reduce allostatic load and restore identity and purpose.
2. Innovation
The VETWERX model integrates autonomic regulation, cognitive rehabilitation, sleep stabilization, and structured peer cohesion into a continuous two-week immersive experience. This structured immersion bridges gaps between outpatient care and sustained Veteran engagement.
3. Approach
Participants complete baseline assessments followed by two weeks of structured therapeutic programming. Follow-up evaluation occurs at 30 and 90 days post-program to track sustained outcomes across PTSD severity, sleep quality, cognitive function, and social engagement.
