Seattle Irish Dance Company (SIDC) is a semi-professional dance company composed of adult dancers dedicated to expanding the reach of Irish dance in the Pacific Northwest. Our mission is to provide professional opportunities for Irish dancers to develop their performance skills through innovative choreography while sharing the joy of Irish dance with our wider community. We develop original choreography, collaborate with musicians and artists, and plan to lead workshops that invite people of all ages to experience Irish dance, whether in theaters, pubs, festivals, or community spaces. Grounded in tradition but inspired by contemporary forms, our work promotes Irish dance as both a cultural tradition and a dynamic performance art.
