TCMoFA (Thurston County Museum of Fine Arts) is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to transforming vacant spaces in Olympia into dynamic public art destinations. TCMoFA creates free and public art shows with the goal of providing a platform for local artists and promoting inclusivity and cultural appreciation. The organization currently facilitates the creation of short term pop-up museums featuring visual art, performances, receptions and galas. Beginning in the fall of 2023 TCMoFA has also begun organizing an annual exhibit of works by Indigenous artists with personal connections to the Salish Sea. This event, titled the Coast Salish Museum of Fine Arts (CSMoFA), is celebrated on the weekend preceding Indigenous Peoples Day. Because TCMoFA is an organization creating museums and not galleries, it does not facilitate the sale of art. All art shows are for the purpose of cultural enrichment and artistic representation.
