Southern Crescent Veteran Services Inc homeless outreach program is helping those who are already homeless with getting jobs, medical treatment, and finding safe affordable housing as well as STOPPING many who are at risk of being added to the numbers through evictions and foreclosure on current housing.
This is an epidemic that is growing at alarming rates post the Cornavirus that are now effecting elderly Veterans 62+ as homeowners are forced to increase rent by $800+ so those on fixed income like social security or pension can not afford the spike and because their income is too can't even afford assisted living center. Single Veterans with 1 to 3 minor children are also impacted and are now forced to live in abandoned buildings, none working cars, or shelters if they are available.
