The powerful earthquake that struck southeast Turkey and northwest Syria early on Monday 6 February has sadly killed more than 20000 people and injured thousands more. Countless buildings have been reduced to rubble and so many have lost their livelihoods. We fear that the number of fatalities and injuries could rise in the coming days , as families are still trapped under the rubble. The death toll is predicted to surpass 20,000. But these are not just numbers. These are very real lives. We have created this fund to provide relief to survivors through emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine, in addition to longer-term recovery assistance to help residents in Turkey and Syria recover and rebuild.
