GRATEFUL HEARTS FREE MEALS

Grateful Hearts Free Meals is a non-profit run 100% by volunteers. Donation based free hot meals, free take home groceries, free clothing, free hygiene products are provided for men, women and children of all ages, races and religions. There are no financial requirements to partake of the generosity provided. Everyone who walks in the door is welcome and given respect.
9-10am Free breakfast. Typical menu might include cereal, milk, pastry, juice, fruit, tea and coffee.
10am-11am Free clothing, shoes, hygiene, misc.
11am-12pm Free groceries might include bread, canned goods, juice, produce.
11am-12:30pm Delicious Free Hot Lunch. Typical menu might include roasted chicken, vegetables, fruit, mashed potatoes/gravy, spaghetti, salads, pizza, dessert, juice, tea and coffee.
The location is Fray Garces Colombian Hall in Glendale, AZ.
We do not have any employees and all money donated goes directly for food, disposable supplies and support items. Our goal is to increase the number of days we serve at the facility. We would also like to get a vehicle, such as a food truck, where we could take food to the local areas where the homeless live and to elderly homes. We have gracious volunteers with big hearts that want to serve our hungry and less fortunate community members. We are also working on gathering information on resources to help the homeless become productive members of society or at least get some type of help to lift them up.
