NVMS Programs and Operations

by NORTH VALLEY MUSIC SCHOOL

North Valley Music School is the only non-profit community music school in Montana. Our mission, to enrich lives through music education, appreciation, and performance by offering musical opportunities to all ages, is accomplished through private lessons, group classes, performing ensembles, workshops, summer camps, and community outreach. NVMS relies on the generosity of individual donors, business sponsors, and grant funding to change lives and our community through music.

We serve over 550 students annually and touch the hearts of thousands in our rural community each year through recitals, events, workshops, our Instrument Petting Zoo, and student performances. Programs are offered for pre-school to seniors and beginners to advanced musicians. NVMS has free Veterans Learn to Play classes, a free Children's choir, and two weekly acoustic jams, also free. Each year NVMS awards around 30 scholarships (~$20,000) so that no student may be turned away for financial reasons. North Valley Music School admits students of any age, ability, race, color, nationality, sex, ethnic origin, or religious affiliation.

Gifts to North Valley Music School are used toward annual funding of programs and operations, ensuring we continue to fulfill our mission. Thank you for supporting music education!
