AMERICAN LIVING ORGAN DONOR FUND

The American Living Organ Donor Fund is dedicated to helping American living organ donors. We neither encourage nor discourage donation — we work with donors to help them make the most informed decision possible, and if they decide to donate, we work to make their donation experience as medically and financially safe as possible. We pride ourselves in being a source for information for living organ donors both for medical information and for information on where and how to get financial assistance with non-medical living organ donation related expenses. To that end, we provide direct grants to living organ donors, usually for lost wages when funds are available to do so. But we also cover other donation related expenses if not covered by others, such as travel, lodging, babysitting, pet-sitting, the donor's caregiver's lost wages, and more. When we are low on funds, we help donors by setting up an online fundraiser to help them raise funds. We serve donors on a first come, first serve basis and help all American living organ donors regardless of race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, age, veteran status, disability, or socioeconomic status. We also help all living organ donors whether they are donating a kidney, liver, lung, bone marrow or other organ covered by the National Organ Transplant Act.
