Born Learning Trails

by UNITED WAY OF KENOSHA COUNTY

Children are constantly learning, right from birth. To help adults turn a simple park visit into an early learning opportunity, Born Learning Trails offer multiple activity stations with fun, interactive learning games that parents, grandparents and caregivers can play with young children.

Currently, there is a Born Learning Trail in Columbus Park in Kenosha County. We hope to soon be able to install more Born Learning Trails throughout our community.

Similarily to Born Learning Trails, sensory playgrounds offer activity stations with interactive learning games that students can engage with and play together. Concepts like counting, math, and the alphabet are brought to life with colorful activities every student can enjoy. Recently. Sensory Playgrounds were created at The Brompton School, Tall Oaks Academy, EBSOLA, Roosevelt, KTEC, and Grant, which were made possible by a partnership with school administration and parent leaders.

If you are interested in sponsoring a Born Learning Trail or creating a Sensory Playground, please contact Marisa Markowski at mmarkowski@kenoshaunitedway.org or call 262-658-4104.
