MAIN STREET COMMUNITY CENTER INC

Main Street Community Center has been serving area seniors and disabled adults for 48 years through programs in nutrition, transportation, health screenings, education, information & assistance, and recreation. The Center partners with over 100 volunteers monthly to execute programs and maintains a small staff of 1 FTE and an additional 7 PTE’s. This allows us to provide excellent stewardship of donations received.

A few statistics from this current fiscal year include:

• 8049 meals delivered
• 4472 rides provided
• 1917 volunteer hours completed
• 605 active participants

A few special event highlights/accomplishments include:
• Served 121 local Veterans a free hot meal.
• Provided Covid & Flu vaccines to 120 seniors.
• Applied for a received several new grants that have allowed us to update our facility to make it more functional as well as safe and inviting.
• The Center invested in a new client services software that will now allow for proper program management and keep track of statistics more accurately.

With a growing population of seniors, we continue to address the core social services required to meet their basic needs for physical, mental and social health. We partner with volunteers and community resources to provide a comprehensive list of programs and services. The Center staff and board work hard to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of services while maintaining quality for our clients. It is important to have the funding to be able to adapt to the needs of our clients and maintain a clean, updated, and welcoming facility for our community to enjoy.
